The Douglas Family began breeding stud Dorset sheep in 1940, first with Dorset Horns and then the Abelene Park Poll Dorset Stud was founded in 1977 by Max and Coral Douglas, and since then we have strived to be progressive in the direction of the stud. Our rams are renowned for their carcase attributes and progeny are highly accepted across all market weight ranges.

Over the last 40 years, clients using Abelene Park bloodlines have had success over all maternal breeds and in all climates.
